May/June Doldrums

In the immortal words of Quiet Riot, I like to think of myself as “a mean go-getter” but I have been having the hardest time getting started in the mornings.  Do you think there is any substance behind the idea that years of post-secondary education may have conditioned me to expect May and June to be “relaxing” months after a stressful April?

In other news, Brendan Perry and Robin Guthrie put on a fantastic concert on Saturday night at The Opera House.  There crowd there made me feel right at home as I was surrounded by smart looking 30/40 somethings with good (and slightly darker) fashion sense.  Brendan sports my same haircut now, may have seemed a little tired, but his voice was very resonant and UN-pitch corrected!

I have decided not to allow this blog to be a place of complaining but to use it for the cause of good and moving forward.  Also, truth is stranger than fiction which tells me I am not the best judge of the content of the blog as I am too close to it.  This also lays open the possibility that fiction hasn’t been living up to its potential!!!

Today: Morning – home office (like this), Afternoon – Visit my friend, Kate, for lunch and design meeting, Evening – Rehearsal.

Tomorrow: Try not to feel bad about not being able to get up at 5:00 and solve the world’s problems.  Realistically wake up at 8:00 and work at home while Zaara is at daycare.

Day after tomorrow: THE WORLD!!!
